Greg Vallin Recognized with Brownstein’s Pro Bono Lifetime Achievement Award
Greg Vallin, a shareholder in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Real Estate Department, was recognized by the firm with its first-ever Pro Bono Lifetime Achievement Award for his longstanding commitment to pro bono work and 25-year partnership with Mountain Area Land Trust (MALT).
Vallin has been instrumental in his work for MALT, a nonprofit organization dedicated to land and water conservation along Colorado’s Front Range communities. Since 1998, Vallin has devoted nearly 500 hours of pro bono work to the organization, making a significant impact on conserving land in Colorado. He has worked on 47 conservation easements for MALT over 25 years, preserving 13,530 acres or 21.1 square miles. Besides his pro bono work, Vallin also formerly served as president of MALT’s board of directors.
“Greg’s impact has been so instrumental. We could not have accomplished what we did without his review and legal advice,” said Jeanne Beaudry, who previously served as MALT’s executive director for 14 years. “He truly has made a difference in our area, to this organization and to the people and community of Colorado.”
In addition to his work for MALT, Vallin has devoted more than 300 hours of total pro bono work to other organizations during his time at Brownstein.
“Greg’s pro bono work is a true inspiration to all of us at the firm and at the organizations he’s helped by donating his time and talent,” said Emily Ellis, Brownstein’s pro bono partner.
Vallin was recognized at a ceremony in Brownstein’s Denver office on Aug. 24. To see the video highlighting his achievement and work with MALT, click here.
