Jack Hobaugh Joins Colorado Bar Association’s Artificial Intelligence & Innovation Task Force
Jack Hobaugh, a shareholder in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Corporate and Business Department, has joined the Colorado Bar Association (CBA)’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Innovation Task Force.
In this role, Hobaugh will help assess the ethical, practical and technological implications of AI in the legal profession. He will contribute to the Task Force’s efforts to engage subject matter experts, evaluate emerging risks and opportunities, and craft actionable recommendations for the CBA Executive Committee and membership—aimed at sparking meaningful dialogue about the future of law in Colorado.
Beyond AI, Hobaugh will also support the Task Force’s broader mission to expand access to legal services in underserved communities, promote responsible technology use and guide innovation in legal practice. His work will help modernize business operations, inform policy updates and empower members to navigate a rapidly evolving legal landscape.
Hobaugh combines his global software, database and network engineering experience with his legal practice to focus on technology transactions, AI, cybersecurity and privacy law. A certified AI governance, information systems security and privacy professional, he uses his extensive inhouse counseling experience to provide AI, cybersecurity and privacy guidance to his clients. His work also includes incident response counseling and negotiating AI, privacy and security agreements, such as data protection agreements. He also provides technical license review and analysis, and is a member of the Brownstein Crisis Management & Strategic Response Team and Ethics and Compliance Team.
“I am excited about contributing my knowledge while at the same time learning from others,” Hobaugh said. “I am also looking forward to having my thoughts and opinions challenged. I am excited to be invited to be part of the AI leadership that will provide input and guidance to the CBA and CBA members. I am all in on AI!”
