Joshua Weiss, a shareholder in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Litigation Department, has been recognized by the Denver Business Journal as one of its 2025 40 Under 40 honorees. Every year, the Denver Business Journal honors 40 outstanding local professionals under age 40 for their business success and community contributions.
As a litigator, Weiss represents a broad range of companies in federal and state courts, administrative and regulatory proceedings, mediation and arbitration. He is sought by clients across industries, including construction, banking, health care, real estate, homeowners’ associations and cannabis/hemp. He brings hard-won expertise to highly regulated industries nationwide. When disputes arise, Weiss leverages a decade of litigation experience to make sure his clients achieve the best possible outcome, from sophisticated courtroom representation to strategies avoiding costly litigation through settlement or negotiation. He is also one of the few litigators in Colorado who has extensive experience shaping policy at every level of government. As a policy advocate, he has drafted government cannabis regulations and influenced important discussions on methane emissions, federal regulations and banking policy.
Weiss currently serve on the boards of directors and boards of trustees for a number of important nonprofits and professional organizations, including the Denver Bar Association, Resource Central, Liver Health Connection and the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System. Every year, he performs dozens of pro bono hours of legal services for Jewish Family Service of Colorado and for at-risk individuals through Project Safeguard.
Weiss was recognized at the Denver Business Journal’s awards ceremony on Thursday, March 13.
