Mike King Appointed to Leadership Roles for Denver Academy and Denver Impact Fund
Mike King, a shareholder in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Corporate & Business Department, has been appointed to the board of trustees of Denver Academy as well as the board of directors of the Denver Impact Fund.
Denver Academy
In his role at Denver Academy—a private school serving grades 2-12 that offers student-centered, differentiated and transformative education for bright students with varied learning profiles—King will provide strategic guidance and oversight. He was also selected to chair the school’s new capital campaign, where he will lead efforts to raise funds to support and expand the school’s mission of excellence.
King has been involved with Denver Academy for several years, serving on its Development Committee for seven years prior to his appointment. He looks forward to continuing his support in this expanded role.
“Denver Academy provides a truly essential and unique educational experience, recognizing, understanding and honoring the individuality of each student,” he said. “This enables DA to differentiate instruction for diverse learners and create an environment that allows each student to learn and realize their potential,” he said.

Denver Impact Fund
In his role with the Denver Impact Fund, King will collaborate with other regional community leaders and work alongside Denver Mayor Mike Johnston and his team to strategically direct nonprofit and private resources toward civic issues—creating a force multiplier for positive community outcomes.
Prior to his appointment, King provided pro bono legal services to the Denver Impact Fund, which earned him a letter of commendation from Mayor Johnston. Following this recognition, he was invited to join the board of directors.
“I am humbled to partner with so many high impact community leaders as part of the Denver Impact Fund to help this great city,” King said.
