Jami Fleming has over 20 years of experience focusing on compliance management and process improvement for highly regulated industries such as financial services and healthcare. With experience in data analytics, managing cross-functional compliance teams and compliance reporting at both the federal and state level, Jami contributes decades of technical compliance experience to complex projects ranging from root cause analyses, complaint and transaction reviews, external audits and writing policies and procedures that meet compliance standards in the relevant industry.
Prior to Brownstein, Jami worked for Well States Healthcare, where she applied federal and state regulations to underwriting and collections as well as drafted and implemented standard operating procedures and best practices across the organization. In financial services, Jami was a senior director of financial aid and compliance working with Title IV regulations governing Federal Student Aid within a university. Jami’s practical experience and solid technical skills give the Brownstein consumer finance and employment compliance teams a practical advantage when providing effective and efficient compliance advisory services.
