Background

Alina Werth’s background in environmental science and water policy, paired with strong writing and research skills, informs her natural resources practice at the firm. Her substantive environmental law experience includes  drafting legal memoranda and reviewing documents in preparation for depositions and jury trials. As a legal intern with the California Department of Justice’s Natural Resources & Environment Sections, she analyzed regulatory schemes and identified potential enforcement gaps.

Before law school, Alina supported attorneys and business development efforts in the firm’s Marketing Department, focusing on land use and water law. She also interned with The Nature Conservancy as a global water markets analyst and was a research assistant at the University of California Santa Barbara, analyzing the impact of state and local land use policies on development in wildfire-prone regions of California.
