April L. Barnard

April Barnard focuses on patent preparation and prosecution and intellectual property litigation. She has extensive experience in the surgical and physiological sciences and advises clients in the life sciences, including biotechnology, biomedical sciences, and microbiology and immunology.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, April studied microbiology and immunology and focused her research primarily on genetic determinants of viral virulence. She also studied cardiovascular physiology, specifically cardiovascular dysfunction.
