A prolific legal researcher and writer, Robert Bacaj is a litigator with particular experience representing health care organizations and professionals in a variety of matters before trial and appellate courts. His work includes defending and prosecuting complex matters involving health care fraud and abuse, provider-payor disputes, hospital-physician joint ventures, and physician-owned entities, as well as appellate advocacy for various industry trade groups.
Prior to joining Brownstein, Robert was an associate at a health law boutique in Lone Tree, Colorado, representing medical providers and other corporate entities in all stages of civil litigation. While in law school, he was a production editor for the Colorado Natural Resources, Energy, & Environmental Law Review. Robert also previously clerked for Justice Monica M. Márquez of the Colorado Supreme Court and Judge Elizabeth L. Harris of the Colorado Court of Appeals and interned for Judge J. Eric Elliff with the Denver District Court and Judge Robert E. Blackburn with the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
