Andrew Freyer understands that bridging communication gaps between engineers and management is essential to making informed business decisions. He applies an insider’s knowledge of large and small technology companies’ operations and objectives and his expertise in electrical engineering, data analytics, network security and software development to his work on patent preparation, prosecution and portfolio development.

By utilizing his firsthand experience with software and hardware technology industries together with insights garnered through use of a private analytics platform he designed, built and maintains, Andrew ensures clients realize the full value of their intellectual property rights without incurring unnecessary prosecution delay or expense blind testing prosecution or drafting strategies. His deep familiarity with the business goals of both emerging and established tech clients allows him to architect patent applications specifically keyed to those goals.

Andrew advises clients on domestic and foreign patent portfolio development techniques strategically tailored to parallel clients’ business growth aims. He has experience managing negotiation of IP-focused licensing agreements, monetizing both applications and issued patents, and conducting intellectual property portfolio audits.

Andrew also has deep knowledge of network security and API security research, and constantly seeks to improve industry processes. He is one of a handful of researchers who have received recognition from the Department of Commerce for identifying and disclosing significant vulnerabilities in core USPTO systems, exemplifying both his subject matter expertise and a keen eye for detail.
