Background

Deeply familiar with regulatory frameworks and consumer protections, Ben Ferrell advises gaming clients on a wide range of legal issues through his experience with the emerging regulatory schemes for land-based and interactive sports betting and interactive gaming. 

Ben has significant public sector experience. He previously served as a deputy attorney general in Pennsylvania, focusing on consumer protection issues, and as an assistant enforcement counsel with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. While there, he investigated possible statutory violations involving Pennsylvania’s gaming laws and reinforced regulatory compliance through contract and licensing review, leading informational compliance conferences, negotiating consent agreements and monitoring changes in gaming law. 

Before joining the firm, Ben was an associate at a Philadelphia law firm advising on legal issues related to business and fine art insurance coverage and professional liability claims.
