Benno M. Guggenheimer

More than 15 years of experience in patent law. Represents some of the most recognizable names in Silicon Valley and the tech industry at large. Manages international patent portfolios for multinational companies.

Benno Guggenheimer brings his technical skills to bear on his patent work for Fortune 500 companies. His practice includes patent prosecution and patent analysis, with a focus on software products, artificial intelligence, electronic devices, medical devices and automated systems. Benno is a skilled legal strategist, particularly for emerging technologies in generative AI and SaaS applications.

Benno works closely with his clients to develop and maintain patent portfolios that are relevant and commercially viable. In addition to patent prosecution, Benno routinely provides analysis for patent licensing and license enforcement, patent defense and patent diligence.

Benno also applies his litigation experience to patent disputes and is skilled at patent defense, patent assertion, patent validity and infringement analysis.

Prior to joining the firm, Benno worked as an associate at a top-tier San Francisco firm.
