Background
With several years of experience in public policy and government relations, Catherine Charles lends her expertise to the State Government Relations Group on a broad range of issues including housing, business, sustainability and extended producer responsibility policy, and privacy and artificial intelligence. As an advocate, Catherine leverages her longstanding connections in the capitol and in-depth understanding of the California Legislature to provide insightful policy and political analysis. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a legislative aide to former Senate Majority Leader Robert Hertzberg and Assemblymember Chris Holden, then-chair of the Assembly Appropriations Committee, where she led on bill drafting, policy negotiations and stakeholder engagement.
