Background
John Menges pulls from both his legal background and policy experience to monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory issues related to a wide variety of industries including technology, financial services and labor. A skilled writer, he works with clients to respond to government oversight and rulemaking, while his knowledge of the lawmaking process allows him to both draft and dissect legislation. He employs his strong research skills combined with his political know-how to make sure stakeholders are informed of the issues that matter to them.
Before joining Brownstein, John worked in the office of Julia Brownley (D-CA) and interned in the office of Don Beyer (D-VA), building his legislative experience and solidifying his connections on Capitol Hill.
