Background
Joe Morrey combines an engineering background with strong leadership skills to his intellectual property practice. He focuses on international patent applications with a focus on digital and electromechanical assets. Joe has a strong background in collaborating with clients and inventors to ensure their innovations are accurately and comprehensively reflected in patent applications.
Joe joined the firm from an international law firm, where he gained extensive experience in preparing U.S. and international patent applications across areas such as graphical user interfaces, smart device applications, wireless communication, data management and electromechanical technologies.
Before that, he was the managing associate attorney at another multinational firm and served in the U.S. Air Force, including as a civil engineer, for eight years. Before law school, he worked as a mechanical engineer.
