Background
Melinda Hart works with the firm’s Natural Resources Department in matters related to civil, real property and natural resources litigation as well as land use, real estate development and water law. She provides integral support by drafting pleadings and documents, and performing complex legal and factual research. Melinda has extensive experience with every aspect of case management throughout the litigation process, from commencement of a lawsuit through the discovery and motion practice stages, to trial preparation, presentation and in-trial management, and post-trial appellate proceedings. Her work routinely involves high-stakes litigation, e-discovery and document management. She also assists with complex real estate transactions by performing due diligence and property investigation.
Melinda brings nearly 20 years of experience to her work, including a background of cases in federal and state courts at the trial and appellate levels as well as with government agencies and arbitration. Her litigation experience includes CEQA, SGMA, writs, civil, complex litigation and class actions, real property, employment and family law.
