Background
Nafía Lalani supports government affairs and strategic policy initiatives by tracking key policy developments on Capitol Hill, in the White House and around the world. She synthesizes complex information into clear analysis, drafting briefings, memos and communications that keep clients—including sovereign governments, Fortune 500 companies and nonprofits—fully informed on issues spanning global economic policy, transnational technology and artificial intelligence (AI) regulation, international trade and U.S. foreign policy.
Nafía’s experience in federal policymaking further deepens her insight into congressional and executive branch processes. She worked in the office of Sen. Cory Booker (D‑NJ), conducting analysis on trade, federal development finance and emerging technology issues to support legislative proposals and committee preparation. Additionally, her time interning with the Biden‑Harris administration strengthened her operational understanding of executive decision‑making and intergovernmental engagement. She previously contributed to foreign policy research at the Hudson Institute and the Department of Defense’s Near East South Asia (NESA) Center, where she studied security dynamics across South and Central Asia.
