Background
Corporate attorney who advises private equity sponsors, companies, and family offices on complex, high-stakes transactions. Deep understanding of business realities and a focus on helping clients achieve strategic objectives without losing sight of practical considerations.
Patrick regularly represents clients in buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, control and minority investments, equity financings, add-on and follow-on acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings. He is known for anticipating pressure points in transactions and for providing commercially focused counsel in fast-moving and high-stakes situations, including hostile transactions. His industry experience includes technology, healthcare, entertainment, aerospace, consumer products, manufacturing, professional services, and hospitality, among others.
In addition to his transactional work, Patrick frequently serves as outside corporate counsel, advising on governance, ownership matters, and complex or sensitive situations, including distressed asset sales, partnership disputes, and business separations.
Prior to returning to private practice, Patrick was at Partners Group, one of the world’s largest publicly listed private equity firms, where he worked on the formation and structuring of bespoke investment vehicles for institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, and family offices. That experience informs his sponsor-side perspective and enhances his ability to align legal execution with investor and deal-level priorities.
