Background

Over 20 years of experience in legislative affairs, external relations and politics at the federal, state and local levels. Manages strategic planning and lobbying campaigns. Helps businesses turn policy into growth opportunities.

Joe Jaso uses his government relations executive experience to lead multistate lobbying efforts. Drawing on his ability to navigate a variety of issues at the state and local levels as well as at the federal level, Joe develops and implements engagement strategies that help companies establish a network of key policymakers throughout the United States. He works on behalf of clients across the health care, security, education, energy and telecommunications arenas to advance legislative and business objectives on Capitol Hill, in state legislatures and with local governments across the country. A strong storyteller, he crafts messaging on behalf of clients and their executives to communicate with elected officials and their staff.   

As head of U.S. state government affairs at a global pharmaceutical company, Joe was at the forefront of national health care issues and led a team that successfully engaged state-based legislation across the country. Joe served as Washington, D.C., director to Gov. Jim Douglas (R-VT) during his tenure as the National Governors Association (NGA) chairman and vice chairman. Joe was also head of government affairs at the Republican National Committee and was instrumental in creating the Republican Attorneys General Association.
