Background

Victoria Barba has held a variety of roles in high profile campaigns and brings a network of relationships and deep well of knowledge of the mechanisms of local politics to her role at Brownstein. 

She has directed fundraising, volunteer outreach and field operations for two San Diego City Council campaigns and has  experience working with elected officials at all levels. Victoria has advised or worked on issues related to community projects, city budgets and program funding, youth outreach and internal communications during her time in city government. 

Prior to joining the firm, Victoria served as the director of community outreach for three years in the Office of Councilmember David Alvarez and simultaneously served as the director of volunteer outreach and fundraising for Vivian Moreno’s successful campaign for city council in 2018. She also served in a leadership position on the campaign of San Diego City Council President Georgette Gomez in 2016. Victoria also interned in the offices of two Congressional members representing the San Diego region.
