Background
Sophia Quach supports her clients on issues ranging from international relations to state legislation and nonprofit work. Prior to joining Brownstein, she worked at the California State Legislature where she acted as the liaison between policy advocates, policy staff and elected officials on education, business, natural resources and water issues. She managed a comprehensive legislative portfolio, provided detailed policy recommendations to her elected officials and moderated stakeholder engagement with various interest groups. Working in both the California Assembly and Senate, Sophia honed her legislative acumen to critically analyze complex policy and devise creative solutions to drive client outcomes.
Sophia is also involved in uplifting and empowering the API community. At the Asian and Pacific Islander Capitol Association (APICA), she planned and executed multiple high-profile community events through her time as the outreach coordinator and later as communications director.
She was a Fulbright recipient to South Korea, teaching English and international relations in Changwon and is also an artist, with work featured most notably in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s library.
