Background

Stephanie is an experienced, analytical and proactive policy analyst with five years of experience in public health, human services, labor, budget, housing, business, insurance, banking, sports and entertainment, higher education and technology. She has staffed nearly two dozen bills, over half of which became law. She collaborates closely with clients to advocate on their behalf through stakeholder engagement and navigates them through the legislative process.

Stephanie previously served in the California State Legislature as a legislative assistant to Assemblymember Dr. Joaquin Arambula, former chair of the Assembly Budget Subcommittee on Health & Human Services, where she analyzed complex policy issues, provided strategic policy recommendations and led policy negotiations. She also served as a senate fellow for Senator Nancy Skinner, chair of the Senate Budget & Fiscal Review Committee, where she played a key role in securing $15 million in the 2022 Budget Act to advance women and non-binary individuals in skilled trades. Her background also includes lobbying and advocacy with Cruz Strategies and in past roles with the National Hispanic Medical Association in D.C. through the University of California Washington D.C. program.
