Background

Xander Bienstock supports clients across litigation and regulatory matters, with a focus on energy law, securities and public policy.

Previously, Xander clerked in the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Commercial Law Development Program, where he co-authored a handbook on negotiation best practices in the energy sector and analyzed foreign legal regimes. He was also a summer associate at the firm in 2024, and he interned with the Superior Court of the District of Columbia while in law school. Additionally, while at George Washington University Law School, Xander was a member of the International Law in Domestic Courts Journal and served as a dean’s fellow, mentoring first-year students in legal writing during his final year.

Xander also previously worked in Brownstein’s Washington, D.C., office as a policy intern, attending congressional hearings and analyzing legislation for clients in the energy and health care industries.
