Jamie Thalgott Returns to Brownstein as Land Use and Real Estate Shareholder
As the firm continues to expand its land use and development work in Nevada, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Jamie Thalgott will return to the firm as a shareholder in the Las Vegas office.
Most recently, Thalgott served as assistant city attorney for the City of Henderson, Nevada, where she represented the city in a multimillion-dollar sale of 55 acres of city land to the Oakland Raiders. Additionally, she served as lead counsel to the Henderson Planning Commission, City Property Management Department and Community Development and Services Department. Thalgott drafted new and revised regulations for the municipal and development codes, reviewed proposed legislation and provided testimony to support Henderson’s interests.
Thalgott’s practice will focus on providing counsel to high-profile hospitality and development clients, focusing primarily on land use, entitlements and real estate development work as well as acquisitions, dispositions and financings.
“We are thrilled to have Jamie back on the team,” said Nicole Ament, chair-elect of the firm’s Real Estate Department. “The experience she’s gained at the City of Henderson will be a huge asset to our Nevada clients working on large-scale, complex development projects.”
Brownstein is a nationally recognized leader in real estate and land use law throughout the U.S. known for the scale and prestige of its work and industry relationships. In Las Vegas, the firm does land use and entitlement work for such significant clients as Caesars Entertainment Corporation, Virgin Trains USA and Wynn Resorts.
Thalgott received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and her law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School.
