Las Vegas native with extensive experience in the private and public sectors. Transactional and land use attorney. Leads all aspects of real estate development deals, from acquisition to entitlement.
In her real estate practice, Jamie Thalgott shepherds development projects through local government channels and the associated regulatory implications on complex land use and real estate transactions. She provides counsel to high-profile developers in the negotiation of development agreements, incentives such as tax increment financing and tourism improvement districts, C-PACE financings, and complicated land use issues. Jamie also represents clients in high-profile and complex commercial real estate transactions, including drafting and negotiating multimillion-dollar purchase and sale agreements and performing related due diligence for all asset classes.
A Las Vegas native, Jamie is a strong believer in giving back to the community, currently serving as pro bono legal counsel to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation and Campus for Hope Foundation. She previously represented the Shannon West Homeless Youth Shelter in the acquisition of its facility and the Collaboration Center Foundation in the acquisition and development of its integrated campus serving those with disabilities. Jamie serves as a NAIOP Southern Nevada Board Member and the chair of its government affairs committee. She is also a board member for the Henderson Development Association, the economic development arm of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce.
Previously, Jamie served as an assistant city attorney for the City of Henderson, working as lead counsel to the city’s Planning Commission, Property Management Department and Community Development and Services Department. She also clerked in U.S. District Court in Nevada for the Honorable James C. Mahan following her graduation from law school.
Representative Matters
- Lead counsel to Boulder Highway Gaming, LLC, and its affiliates in the sale of the Emerald Island Casino and Rainbow Club Casino in Henderson, Nevada to companies owned by Ron Winchell and Marc Falcone.
- Lead real estate transactional counsel to affiliates of Paragon Gaming in the sale of Hard Rock (now the Golden Nugget) in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, to GNV Holdings.
- Served as counsel to the City of Henderson in the associated acquisition and development of 55-acres of land for the Las Vegas Raiders’ headquarters and practice facility as well as a sale/leaseback of such facility.
- Counsel to MGM Resorts in its sale of the Circus Circus Hotel Casino and Festival Grounds.
