Rich Benenson and Sean Cuff Recognized at the 2026 ColoradoBiz Icons & Achievers Awards
Managing Partner Rich Benenson and Associate Sean Cuff were recognized at the 2026 ColoradoBiz Icons & Achievers Awards, with Benenson named an icon and Cuff an achiever. The program celebrates Colorado’s standout business leaders, honoring established executives as icons and rising young professionals as achievers for their community impact and industry excellence.
Benenson has spent more than two decades at Brownstein, rising through key leadership roles to serve as managing partner since 2019, where he has driven significant growth and strategic expansion. Under his leadership, the firm has achieved record‑breaking financial performance—including surpassing $300 million in revenue in 2025—while increasing profitability, integrating its legal and lobbying practices and reinforcing its standing as a top lobbying firm. He has expanded the firm’s national footprint with new offices in New York and Tampa and the launch of a new Public Affairs practice. Committed to civic engagement, Benenson serves on the boards of History Colorado and the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed to the Colorado Judicial Performance Commission and continues to serve in an emeritus role with Global Livingston Institute.

He also serves as chair of Brownstein’s Associates Committee, representing associate perspectives to firm leadership and helping shape mentorship, professional development and firm culture. Dedicated to pro bono work, Cuff has contributed at least 100 hours of pro bono service for several years. Outside of the office, Cuff serves on ACE Colorado’s Associate Board and is a dedicated mentor with Law School…Yes We Can!, a nationally recognized pipeline program designed to support and empower students from underrepresented backgrounds who aspire to legal careers.
