Shane Griffin is an Associate in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Denver office and a member of the Real Estate Department. Shane’s practice focuses on representing clients in the acquisition, development, financing, leasing, and disposition of various commercial properties, including office buildings, shopping centers, and hotels. Shane also has experience in performing due diligence in all phases of real estate transactions such as title and survey.
Prior to joining the firm, Shane worked at Hassan & Cables, LLC and at Spectra Logic in Boulder, Colorado.
While in law school, Shane served as a law clerk at Messner & Reeves, LLP and as a legal intern at Covidien, Respiratory & Monitoring Solutions in Boulder, Colorado. He also served as a law clerk at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton and worked as a paralegal for DLA Piper LLP in Los Angeles, California.
Counsel to seller, a joint venture between Hines, Perlmutter and JPMorgan, in the sale of 1601 Wewatta, a recently constructed office building near Union Station. The property sold for over $740 per sq. ft. (approximately $225M), the highest per-square-foot price for office in Colorado history. Impressively, the transaction was negotiated and closed in under 30 days.
