Djenita Svinjar began her legal career as in-house counsel and assistant vice president for a Fortune 500 title insurance provider, which led her to the construction industry. Djenita’s construction experience stems from her time as corporate counsel for one of the nation’s largest general contractors, overseeing a multitude of responsibilities, including contract reviews and negotiations, resolution of mechanic’s lien and bond claims, and federal audit compliance. Thereafter, she served as outside counsel to several of the nation’s largest commercial general contractors, assisting with drafting, review and negotiation of commercial construction contracts and external general counsel matters.

Djenita’s hybrid experience as both in-house and outside counsel enables her to offer clients a unique perspective on construction law. Her diverse experiences in her prior roles allow her to better assist her clients by providing pragmatic legal expertise and practical business acumen to deliver strategic solutions that mitigate risks and maximize value for her clients. Djenita’s approach is collaborative, working as an extension of her clients’ teams, and she is known for her clear communication, responsiveness and practical advice.
