Lauren Mish

Policy Advisor

Background

Lauren Mish advises clients on critical policy and regulatory developments impacting a broad range of health care issues. She develops and executes advocacy strategies that position stakeholders at key moments in the policymaking process and guides clients through the complexities of the federal government.

A trusted strategist in Republican circles, Lauren helps turn client objectives into actionable strategies across Congress and the executive branch. She monitors legislative and regulatory developments and leverages her relationships in the House Ways & Means and Energy & Commerce committees, as well as the Senate Finance and Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) committees, to ensure client perspectives are considered by decision-makers at critical junctions in policy creation.

Prior to joining the firm, Lauren’s skills in policy and adeptness in a complex political landscape are built on her work researching and spearheading policy solutions for top health administrators at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Global Affairs. This added to her time in the office of Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), also fostered strong relationships on Capitol Hill that she continues to leverage to elevate client concerns. A familiar face in Republican politics, Lauren also worked at the Republican National Committee (RNC) in the office of former Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, where she built a strong foundation in political operations and party leadership dynamics.

At Brownstein, Lauren manages the firm’s internship program and plays a key role in mentoring dozens of interns each year on the Government Relations team.
