This, coupled with his unparalleled knowledge of the business, political and legal issues impacting the real estate industry, makes him the go-to legal counsel for real estate investors and developers.

Representative Matters

  • Led efforts for the redevelopment and repositioning of multiple large outdoor malls to create new, mixed-use centers, including retail, residential and office space. Managed the joint venture structuring, eminent domain process, public and private financing, construction matters, creation of governing documents, national anchors tenant negotiations and leasing of more than one-million-rentable square feet of retail, office and residential space to national, regional and local retailers.
  • Represented multiple multifamily housing clients in evaluation, review and industry feedback regarding HB24-1175 “Local Governments Rights to Property for Affordable Housing” which was passed by the Colorado Legislature in 2024.
  • Served as strategic advisor for multiple large residential home builders to complete the acquisition and development of various real estate assets and entity interests for both commercial and residential properties.
  • Handled joint venture structuring, financing (private, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac), acquisitions and dispositions plus general corporate and securities work for a private equity and public clients focused on multifamily, retail, industrial and land projects.
  • Successfully handled headquarter relocations and significant headquarter leases for large public and private companies across the country.
