2024 Impact Report
More for More in 2024
At Brownstein, we’re all in on everything we do. Our unparalleled expertise in law, business and policy and culture of giving back to our local communities demonstrate this passion in action.
In 2024, we made a commitment to more action and meaningful change for our communities. From boardrooms to classrooms, courtrooms to community centers, we showed up, spoke out and made more impact. Our impact report highlights the initiatives that advanced our impact, resulting in over 13,000 pro bono hours and $6 million in pro bono value invested in the causes that matter most to our teams, clients and communities. It reflects what we can achieve when we turn passion into purpose and purpose into progress.
Our Work
Pro Bono Partnerships
Fueled by the passion of our pro bono committees, Brownstein dedicated thousands of hours to advancing our mission of giving back, providing the quality legal counsel that defines our firm to nonprofits that need it most.
In 2024, we proudly launched the Pro Bono Associates Committee to increase our impact on the causes we care about while providing growth opportunities for our employees.
By partnering with non-profit organizations across practices such as Litigation, Corporate, Real Estate, Natural Resources, Intellectual Property and Government Relations, Brownstein totaled 13,314 pro bono hours for a cash value of $6,953,293, with 88% of attorneys participating.
More Resources
Our pro bono committees organized the Homelessness in our Communities Pro Bono Clinic to discuss critical challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness nationwide. The clinic showcased the vital efforts of organizations like Legal Aid DC, Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, the Denver Mayor’s Office and Bet Tzedek Legal Services in supporting this vulnerable population.
More Knowledge
To learn more about how we can better advocate for human trafficking survivors, our pro bono committees organized a panel in recognition of National Human Trafficking Day featuring three anti-trafficking organizations from across the country: Alliance to Lead Impact in Global Human Trafficking (ALIGHT) in Colorado, Amara Legal Center in Washington, D.C. and Free to Thrive in California.
More Good Karma
In 2024, we exemplified our core value of giving back more than ever. With 103 Karma Projects completed and 164 employees earning Karma Bucks, our employees spread good karma in the nonprofits they care about. Our employees’ extensive involvement in board services amplified our efforts, driving even more positive change for our communities.
Our Karma Bucks program enables us to support the causes our employees care about. Karma Bucks are awarded to employees who participate in four or more volunteer projects throughout the year.
More For Our Community
This year, Brownstein provided more than 2,000 meals through hunger relief initiatives. We were honored to partner with organizations like Jewish Family Service of Colorado and Food Bank of the Rockies to amplify our impact.
From beach cleanups in Santa Barbara, Calif., to planting gardens in Denver, Colo., Brownstein’s Karma Program helped keep our communities clean and healthy in 2024.
Through partnerships with Flags for Fallen Vets, Operation Gratitude and Baking for the Troops, we found more ways to express gratitude to service members and veterans.
