May 18, 2015

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Joshua M. Hantman and Kristin Macdonald, both shareholders in the Denver office, received an M&A Advisor 40 Under 40 Emerging Leaders Award. Hantman and Macdonald will be recognized with this national award on June 29th in New York at the Roosevelt Hotel.

The M&A Advisor, renowned globally for its recognition and presentation of leading M&A, financing and turnaround professionals, created this national award to promote and recognize the emerging leaders in mergers and acquisitions. The 2015 award winners have been chosen from a pool of prominent nominees for their notable accomplishments in business and in service to the community.

“We are very proud of Kristin’s and Josh’s accomplishments. They are both respected leaders in the Denver community and have made a name for themselves as go-to attorneys for mergers and acquisitions matters in their respective practices,” said Adam Agron, Brownstein’s co-managing partner. “You can expect to continue to see them both recognized for their excellent work at the firm and in the community.”

A key member of Brownstein’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group, Hantman specializes in distressed acquisitions in and out of court. He has engineered outstanding outcomes for his clients on the buy and sell side of deals through his wide range of skills and approaches. Hantman’s practice also focuses on complex bankruptcy cases, where he represents debtors, creditors and committees in some of the largest Chapter 11 cases in Colorado and surrounding states. In addition, Hantman litigates significant fraudulent transfer, preference and related litigation matters.

A member of Brownstein’s Corporate and Business Department and a talented dealmaker, Macdonald focuses on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, and public and private securities offerings. She represents companies and private equity firms in the hospitality industry, including hotels and resorts, high-end fitness clubs, ski resorts, golf clubs, and lifestyle consumer products companies, together with her other clients in the travel, media and alternative energy space.
