Executive-level clients rely on Brin Gibson’s high-profile general counsel experience and knowledge navigating issues related to gaming, intellectual property, privacy, water and government relations. As chair of the Nevada Gaming Control Board—the largest and most experienced gaming regulatory agency in the world—he played an integral role in regulating all aspects of Nevada’s gaming industry and protecting its stability through investigations, licensing and enforcement of laws and regulations.

Brin brings deep legal and regulatory experience with the Bank Secrecy Act and AML/CTF compliance. Prior to his time with the Nevada Gaming Control Board, Brin served as a top advisor and general counsel for Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak and his executive branch. He also spent four years of service in the AG’s office where Brin was chief of the Bureau of Gaming and Natural Resources and, ultimately, first assistant attorney general. These positions followed his work as a commissioner of the Colorado River Commission of Nevada for two terms. Brin has developed expertise advising venture-backed clients on legal matters, including recognizing and mitigating unconscious bias in artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms; data feed acquisition agreements; SaaS contracting; balancing data acquisition with personal privacy and civil liberty concerns; and growing, protecting and managing complex IP portfolios.
