Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Mimi Burke, a policy advisor in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office, has joined the World Affairs Councils of America (WACA) network as a national board member. In her role, Burke will assist the board as it provides overall direction to WACA, an independent, nonpartisan organization dedicated to engaging the public and leading global voices to better understand the world, America’s international role, and the policy choices that impact our daily lives and our future.

Burke works with global Fortune 100 companies to advise on market access, emerging initiatives and international government issues. She has over 25 years of experience working with a range of ambassadors, influential stakeholders and the Washington, D.C., international community and leverages over two decades of experience working in the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Washington, D.C.

She is a frequent roundtable expert at the Middle East Institute, the World Affairs Councils, the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Arab Gulf States Institute. She is also a regular lecturer at the U.S. National Defense University, the Command and Staff College of Saudi Arabia and the Royal Saudi War College.

“I’m thrilled to be joining WACA’s national board and contribute to the organization’s important work in providing opportunities for face-to-face conversations with global leaders and policy experts, promoting educational programs for diverse audiences and exploring new ideas on a variety of significant worldwide issues,” Burke said.
