Beth Collins and Brad Herrema Recognized on Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Thriving in Their 40s” List

December 22, 2020

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Shareholders Beth Collins and Brad Herrema were named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Thriving in Their 40s” list. Every year, the LABJ spotlights some of the leading business professionals in the region.

Collins is a problem solver who routinely tackles high-profile, high-controversy land use and real estate matters for developers of all types, large landowners (ski resorts, museums, schools/universities and public agencies), and energy and infrastructure companies building projects across California. Her rare mix of significant entitlement, transactional and litigation experience gives her a unique perspective and her clients an edge. Collins leads the firm’s California Real Estate and Land Use Group.

Herrema’s forte and long-term focus include strategic water supply planning, water right permitting and regulatory compliance, litigation including water right adjudications, transactional negotiations and due diligence, as well as water quality, environmental and species concerns spanning every aspect of California and national water law. A strategic business partner to his clients, he serves as special water counsel to private corporations, water purveyors such as cities and special districts, investor-owned utilities and large landowners, golf courses, resorts, and energy and infrastructure projects. For more than 15 years, he has been involved in many of the nation’s most significant and complex water matters, predominantly in the western United States. He leads the firm’s California Water Group.
