Joshua Weiss Appointed to Denver Bar Association’s Board of Trustees

May 03, 2022

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Joshua Weiss, a shareholder in its Litigation Department, has been appointed to the board of trustees of the Denver Bar Association (DBA). Weiss will serve on the board for a one-year term.

As part of his role, Weiss will assist the board in its management, oversight and governance of the DBA. He will work closely with the executive committee, DBA’s committees and staff to help pursue the organization’s objectives, which include improving access to justice, promoting diversity and inclusion, engaging new and young attorneys, providing access to mental health resources and navigating networking opportunities in the age of COVID-19.

Weiss has been active with the DBA for several years and looks forward to his new leadership position.

“Our profession and our community are capable of so much good. I look forward to advancing access to justice and inclusivity within the legal industry,” he said.

In his practice at Brownstein, Weiss represents a broad range of companies in federal and state courts, administrative and regulatory proceedings, mediation and arbitration. He is sought by clients across industries, including construction, banking, health care, real estate, homeowners’ associations and cannabis/hemp. Weiss is also one of the few litigators in Colorado who has extensive experience shaping policy at every level of government. As a policy advocate, he has drafted government cannabis regulations and influenced important discussions on methane emissions, federal regulations and banking policy.
