Tripp McKemey Joins Brownstein’s Government Relations Team

May 09, 2023

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck welcomes Tripp McKemey to the firm as a senior policy advisor in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. McKemey will focus on technology and telecommunications issues for clients.

“Tripp is a skilled technology and telecommunications advocate and will be a great addition to our market-leading technology and telecom practice. His connections on the Hill with members and staffers will benefit our clients in getting their voices heard on issues affecting the technology industry,” said Will Moschella, co-chair of Brownstein’s Government Relations Department.

McKemey’s experience working with lawmakers and regulators has equipped him with the skills to help clients traverse complicated technology and telecommunications issues. He positions technology industry stakeholders at key points in critical policy formation to ensure their interests are considered in policy action.

His deep understanding of the legislative process is reinforced by his time in the office of Rep. Greg Gianforte (R-MT), where he served as the lead for multiple bills that became law. He also worked under Reps. Ryan Zinke (R-MT) and Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA), forging deep ties with Republicans in the House. McKemey most recently represented DISH Network in front of relevant governing bodies, including the House Energy and Commerce Committee. In this role, he also designed and executed public policy initiatives that benefitted business goals and strategies on matters including spectrum management and infrastructure.

McKemey received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi.
