Melanie Taylor Joins Make-A-Wish Colorado’s Wishmakers Council

August 01, 2022

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Melanie Taylor, of counsel in its Denver office, has joined Make-A-Wish Colorado’s Wishmakers Council, a group of professionals who support the organization’s mission of creating life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses by raising financial support and awareness.

In her role, she will serve as an ambassador for Make-A-Wish Colorado by supporting and hosting events, making and raising donations, attending monthly meetings to help guide the organization and helping grant wishes to children.

Taylor has followed the Make-A-Wish Foundation for many years and built a relationship with the Make-A-Wish Colorado chapter after negotiating a pro bono lease for them. Growing up, her father instilled the importance of volunteering in her, and they frequently helped at community service events together. After caring for her father during his difficult battle with Parkinson’s, she was looking for an opportunity to support other families that are impacted by critical illness.

“Make-A-Wish Colorado is the perfect way to make a positive impact on kids and their families and caregivers who have to face major challenges and stresses that most do not, and to honor my dad’s memory by giving back in a way that was meaningful to him,” she said.

Taylor, in collaboration with Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, is co-sponsoring Make-A-Wish Colorado’s Wish Heroes campaign during the month of August to raise funds to grant wishes to children with critical illnesses.
